What kind of team coaching do I offer?

I help teams perform better, gain deeper insight into their dynamics, and develop greater mutual understanding. I offer my experience, patience, and creativity to help teams grow—guiding them to recognise what is happening within the team while also sharing my observations. The goal is to enable the team to understand its own dynamics and develop a shared language to discuss them.

This includes making explicit what the team needs to achieve its collective goals and how those align with the individual ambitions of each team member. It may also require addressing the ‘unspoken’ within the team—what each individual requires to truly be part of the team. I leverage my expertise as a team coach to introduce targeted interventions, facilitate conversations, and create moments of reflection tailored to the team’s needs.

I provide a safe and confidential environment where teams can engage with themselves, reflect on their dynamics, and have open, honest conversations with one another.

What does a team coaching programme look like?

A team coaching programme starts with an in-depth intake session, either with the team leader or the entire team. This session explores the purpose and objectives of the coaching, as well as the team’s history and the context in which it operates. We also discuss the potential added value of team assessments to be included in the team coaching.

Based on this, I develop a proposal outlining the number of sessions and practical arrangements, such as dates and location. A typical team coaching programme consists of three to four sessions, after which we evaluate the desire and added value for further sessions. Each of the sessions may include a variety of interventions, such as strengthening team connections, engaging in real-world scenarios to experiencing team dynamics, conducting in-depth discussions, and identifying concrete actions. Each session is reviewed and informs the agenda for the next session, ensuring the coaching process remains aligned with the team’s development.

What do I bring to a team coaching programme?

I bring my extensive experience as a team coach, having worked with a variety of teams—including newly formed leadership teams, executive teams facing internal challenges, and management teams navigating post-merger integration. I utilise a range of proven coaching techniques and develop new approaches based on my understanding of the team’s needs.

I also draw from my own experience as a member of management teams, executive boards, and supervisory boards. I understand the complex dynamics within teams, the balance between individual and collective goals, and the importance of addressing difficult or unspoken issues. I also have insight into how organisations perceive leadership teams.

I have completed specialised team coaching training at institutions such as the ‘Kets de Vries Institute’ and ‘INSEAD’. I am certified in ‘The Leadership Circle’s Collective Leadership Assessment’ and am a member of ‘NOBCO’, the Dutch Association of Professional Coaches.

Most importantly, I offer teams my keen observations—identifying what is said (or left unsaid), recognising non-verbal cues, and noticing small yet telling interactions between team members. I share what I see and hear, the impressions it gives me, and my perspective on the underlying dynamics at play within the team.
