During his MBA, he felt that certain topics were not covered enough. From that drive, he developed &#8216;the profession he would have liked to have himself&#8217;. That course is now a very popular elective which he teaches at the renowned HEC near Paris. And also through his books &#8220;What is water?&#8221; and &#8220;What is wisdom?&#8221; he wants to make knowledge accessible to a wider audience. In doing so, Kayvan is partly inspired by scientists and philosophers from (classical) antiquity. Leadership is not a simple formula, according to Kayvan, but is mainly about being aware of yourself and your environment. Personal leadership is a search for those things where your qualities lie and that give you enough energy. This is a precondition for finding an answer to the challenges that leaders are currently facing. A fascinating conversation about the lessons of history in the context of current complexity.
